My Highlight's

Hi I’m Addison and today i'll be telling you about my highlight of term 2 2017. I have 10 highlights and i'll share them all with you. My first highlight of term 2 was how i got new friends. I like having new friends because they make me feel calm and they make me happy. My 2nd highlight of term 2 was my inquiry because I enjoyed learning about illustrator’s. I love illustrator’s and i’ve always wanted to be one.

My 3rd highlight of term 2 was the Teachers because in term 2 they were really funny they still are but in term 2 they made me laugh every day. These teachers are the best teachers ever. My 4th highlight of term 2 was working at the P.E shed because it's really fun. It also makes me feel like I got a real job and It nice to have a job.

My 5th highlight of term 2 was my classmates they were so nice to me. When I slip over in the mud they always run up to me to see if i'm alright. I think that having these classmates is the best. They all treat me as their friend. My 6th highlight of term 2 was my learning because in other classes i'm okay with learning but here i'm like a rocket flying to the moon and back. I love learning in this class it makes me feel better.

My 7th highlight of term 2 was the writing. I love writing so much but in COLAB it was even better. My favourite writing was pigeon Impossible Pigeon Impossible Clip. Pigeon impossible was fun writing and different to the writing’s that I normally do. My 8th highlight of term 2 was the book clubs. I had so much fun reading Dark stone eye. It was fun having a book club because that shows me how to show what I like about my book.

My 9th highlight of term 2 was the mathletics task because their really fun and they make my learning faster. I can look at my work and and have a think for a seconds then i can answer. My last Highlight of term 2 was the learning space. My classroom is huge and it makes me warm. I think this class is really comfy it's such a big space. and that's why I think this is best class ever.

Kayaking at Camp

Green pastures Camp 3.20.2017

Hi my name is Addison and today I’m going to do a blog post to you about kayaking at green pastures.

My group and I were doing rotations at Green Pastures Camp as were the rest of my class.
My teachers were calling out the groups 1 to 8 for what the rotations my class and I will be doing. "Group 1 is on kayaking". At first I was terrified because I’ve heard stories of people that have fallen out of the kayaks. My group and I got down to the lake. I had butterflies in my stomach. The parents were pulling out the kayaks and everyone was hopping in.
Then it was my turn. My heart was pounding. I hopped in the kayak and the parents pushed me further in the water. I got my paddle and started paddling. I couldn’t stop looking down in the water. I meet up with Ayah. If I was anywhere in a kayak I would want to be by Ayah. She always makes me feel confident. So I paddled over to her and while I was paddling I bumped into some people and the kayak started rocking. I thought I was going to tip over, so I closed my eyes and held my breath. I opened my eyes after 10 seconds and I started to breathe. I looked around me and the kayak stopped rocking... I was fine! After that I loved kayaking and I finally felt safe. I started racing people and I won both of those races. Everyone went back to the start so I thought we were done. I raced back, but everyone just wanted paddle boards. If paddle boards were so cool I wanted one too. So I finally got a paddle board and I had to stand on it. I LOVED it. But as soon as I got confident it was time to hop off. My friends jumped in the dark water. They looked at me and kept on saying "jump Addi jump!" over and over again. I touched the sparkling water with the tip of my finger, took a deep breath and flung myself into the warm settled water. I was so proud of myself.

What I got for Christmas

What I got for Christmas

Hi I’m Addison and I am doing a blog today about what I got for Christmas.

I woke up one morning and I looked around, I knew something felt different so I walked down stair. into the kitchen. I looked on the counter and I saw the milk, cookies and the carrots were gone. My face lit up and I flung into the lounge. I sprung up and down saying “Santa’s been here.” I calmed down but all I was looking at was the presents. My sister, Step brother and cousin ran down stairs and Sprung up and down like me and said “Can we open the presents now?” But of course we had to open the stocking’s first then presents.

I rushed through my stockings and I found some great stuff like lollies, chocolate, this cool timer thing, bubbles and much more cool stuff. But after I finished looking through my stocking all I was looking at was the big presents… 5 minutes later Finally Dad said we can open the presents, I ran to the presents but there was no names on them but there were different wrapping papers, but only my step mum knew who's was who's, OMG the first gift I opened was A big GIANT UNICORN I couldn't stop hugging it, I didn't stop hugging it. I opened the next and… It was a slushy maker, Santa knew I wanted one. I looked around me and saw my baby sister Georgia opening her own presents while lying on her tummy. I forgot my other presents but I’ll tell you what we did, me and my cousin jumped outside to play soccer. but it wasn't fun cause then after 10 minutes my little brother hopped outside and said can I play, and I said yup. Isaac my little brother said I’ll be on my own team, I’m fast like flash I can beat you. so we let him on his own team but you know me and my cousin Boddie kept on winning. I had an idea but Boddie didn't like it, but I did it anyway. I let Isaac win by scoring a goal. As soon as the next round my dad said Addi time to go to Mums for Christmas now.

I was excited but also sad because I would have to say goodbye to my other side of the family. I said goodbye to everyone. And it was a two hour drive and all I did was slept. you wouldn’t want to know about the trip back yo Palmerston north. all you would have seen were trees. We got back to palmy and I hopped out of the car hugging my Mum. And we weren't at our house we were at my step grandma and grandpa’s house. I walked into the door and all I saw presents. So we opened them and I got a salvaion family car, and a really cool dress and more.

After 10 minutes we headed home. When we got home my step dad went in first. For some reason we couldn't go in for a minute. After a minute we all ran in but mum was behind us smiling and videoing. I was wondering what would happen. I looked in the lounge and my step dad Kane said “oh no he got out” and that was on purpose, and I saw a PUPPY. He ran up to us and started licking us. And there it was I started crying with joy and kept on saying he’s perfect. I asked what’s his name and he was called Wolfgang. His nickname is Wolfie. He is a border-collie / labrador. And He is 4 days older than my 4-month-old brother.
